Emily Campbell was invited to be a member of the Advisory Board for the University of Nebraska College of Law’s Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic. This innovative clinic offers transactional legal advice and representation to Nebraska’s early-stage businesses and provides law students with a unique opportunity to develop legal, practical and ethical skills through application of classroom lessons to client representation in a law practice style setting. Board members come from not only Nebraska, but the East and West Coasts, and participate in calls and/or meetings, as well as offer time to the Director of the Clinic and the Dean of the College of Law in connection with the Clinic’s structure and policies. Board members also offer students the opportunity to connect on legal issues that arise during the course of their work for the Clinic. More particularly, Ms. Campbell provides lectures for participating students periodically; most recently, she provided a lecture on employee and independent contractor issues that frequently arise when advising entrepreneurs.
