The Lawyer Is InSM program is designed for entrepreneurs and small businesses with low gross-income and have a need for legal representation in business transactions and litigation matters. Entrepreneurs and small businesses may have a variety of legal issues arising from their business activities, including among others, the relationship among owners of the business, service contracts, leases, branding, financing of equipment, credit lines, employment and independent contractor relationships, website development and buying or selling a business or an interest in a business. The Firm may work on simple matters for some businesses and complex matters for others, with the representation tailored to meet the specific needs of the entrepreneur or small business.
The rates for this program are affordable and depend upon the income of the client; they are well-below standard hourly rates for attorneys practicing in New York with the skills of the Firm’s attorneys and are well below the Firm’s normal hourly rates.
In order to apply for this special program, those seeking services must have a reference from rabbi, priest, minister or other similar reference and a vendor or customer reference and must sign an engagement letter covering the scope of representation. Fees for legal services rendered and for applicable expenses are payable to the Firm in immediately available funds, and the Firm accepts all major credit cards.
